At AI Forward Summit 2026, RealTyme will contribute to the Arab region’s AI and digital sovereignty agenda through capacity building, high-level thought leadership, and regional dialogue. RealTyme is participating in the AI Forward Summit 2026, the Arab region's flagship ministerial-level event at the intersection of artificial intelligence, governance, and economic transformation. The Summit will take place September 7–10, 2026, at the Medina Congress & Exhibition Center in Hammamet, Tunisia, organized by the Arab ICT Organization (AICTO) in partnership with Tunisia's Ministry of Communication Technologies, and held under ministerial patronage with senior participation from international bodies such as the ITU, UNESCO, and Smart Africa.

If you're evaluating an AI-enabled system for a government agency, a defense program, or a critical infrastructure operator, you've likely run into the term "edge AI" in a vendor briefing or a procurement document without a clear sense of what it actually changes about the security posture. That gap matters, because the answer determines whether a system can be approved for a classified network at all.

On-device AI is more private than cloud AI, but only under conditions most products don’t meet. When inference runs on your device, inside the encryption boundary, the plaintext of your messages never leaves hardware that was already permitted to read it. When inference runs in the cloud, even in a “private” cloud, the message must be decrypted elsewhere, which adds a third participant to a conversation designed for two. The distinction that matters is not cloud versus device. It is whether plaintext crosses the encryption boundary at all, and whether the vendor can prove it doesn’t.

Every major messaging platform is racing to add AI. Every serious security team is asking the same uncomfortable question: if an AI assistant can read your messages to summarize, translate, or search them, are those messages actually still encrypted?
