Meet Us at WSIS+20 High-Level Event 2025: Shaping the Future of Digital Development

From 7–11 July 2025, leaders from across the globe will gather in Geneva, Switzerland for the WSIS+20 High-Level Event, a defining forum that will shape the next chapter of digital transformation for development. The event marks 20 years since the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) first established a global framework for inclusive, ethical, and human-centered digital progress.

As the UN General Assembly prepares for its formal 20-year review of digital development this September, WSIS+20 provides a crucial space to evaluate achievements, confront new challenges, and build a shared vision for the future.

“For twenty years, WSIS has been uniting the world around a vision of an information society that works for everyone, everywhere.”
— Doreen Bogdan-Martin, ITU Secretary-General

A Vision Beyond 2025

Led by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), this high-level event will address key digital development priorities such as:

  • Inclusive access and sustainable connectivity
  • Ethical and trustworthy AI governance
  • Cybersecurity and digital trust
  • Data sovereignty and emerging regulation
  • Preparing for the post-quantum era

With a strong multistakeholder focus, WSIS+20 will convene governments, civil society, academia, and the private sector to align on a future where digital technologies serve all people and communities.

Join Our CEO Onur Özen and CCO François Rodruguez on the Global Stage at WSIS+20

We are excited to announce that our CEO and CCO will take the stage at WSIS+20 to speak on one of the most pressing questions in the digital world today: ’’Shall Governments Have Access to Encrypted Messaging App Content?’’ As governments grapple with the balance between national security and individual privacy, especially in the face of AI-driven threats and the fast-approaching post quantum era; this session will explore how states can govern secure communications without undermining trust, sovereignty, or digital rights.

.

Drawing on real-world insights from the ITU Academy training on secure government communication, our CCO will join global leaders in unpacking practical, forward-looking solutions: from AI misuse detection to sovereign infrastructure and quantum-resilient encryption.

Don't miss this essential conversation shaping the future of secure, sovereign, and ethical communication.
