We’re excited to announce that RealTyme will be attending the 2025 ITU Regional CyberDrill for Africa, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and INTERPOL, in collaboration with the National Agency for Information Systems Security (ANSSI) and the Centre Africain de Recherche en Intelligence Artificielle (CARIA).
Held at the Centre International de Conférence de Kintélé in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, CyberDrill Africa brings together cybersecurity leaders, national CSIRTs, law enforcement bodies, and critical infrastructure stakeholders to strengthen cyber resilience, enhance incident response capabilities, and foster regional collaboration.
This year’s CyberDrill will feature a series of high-impact sessions exploring national priorities and cross-sector collaboration. Among the highlights is a panel on “Strengthening National Cyber Resilience in Africa,” where government stakeholders will share good practices, implementation strategies, and challenges around national cybersecurity frameworks. The session will spotlight how inclusive, whole-of-government, and multi-agency coordination is essential to building lasting national resilience.
Another key discussion will focus on developing national cyber crisis management plans, emphasizing the complementary roles of national cybersecurity authorities and law enforcement agencies. Participants will explore institutional coordination, real-time incident response strategies, and how to improve readiness for complex cyber crises that span sectors and borders.
We’re proud to share that our CEO, Onur Özen, will speak at the session titled “Advancing Sustainable Cybersecurity Capacity Building in Africa''. This high-level discussion will explore how collaboration between cybersecurity agencies, law enforcement, development partners, and the private sector can drive long-term, inclusive, and resilient cybersecurity ecosystems across the continent. Onur will also lead a series of expert training sessions focused on key risks and opportunities in government communications—including the vulnerabilities of legacy GSM, the impact of AI and emerging threats, the hidden pitfalls of adapting consumer messaging apps, the need for sovereign, compliant communication infrastructure, and how to prepare for quantum-era challenges.
