Meet RealTyme at the 13th Africa Security Symposium (ASEC 2026)

Meet RealTyme at the 13th Africa Security Symposium (ASEC 2026)

TL;DR: RealTyme will attend the 13th Africa Security Symposium (ASEC 2026), held 7–9 July 2026 at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana. Backed by the African Union and convening over 350 senior defence, interior, and intelligence officials, ASEC is where RealTyme brings its work on quantum-resilient, field-deployable secure communications directly to the commanders, ministers, and agencies shaping Africa's security architecture.

RealTyme will attend the 13th Africa Security Symposium (ASEC 2026), taking place from 7 to 9 July 2026 at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana. Organised by PNYX Ltd and held in cooperation with the African Union Commission's Political Affairs, Peace and Security Department (PAPS), ASEC 2026 brings together over 350 senior delegates — including Ministers of Interior and Defence, Chiefs of Military, Police and Intelligence, regional security bodies, UN missions, US agencies, and private sector solution providers — under the theme "Strengthening African Security Through Innovation and Inclusion."

Now in its 13th year, ASEC has established itself as Africa's most operationally focused security and defence gathering: a forum where capability gaps are discussed candidly under the Chatham House Rule, where cross-border partnerships are negotiated, and where technology decisions that will shape continental security operations for years ahead are made.

Chaired by Retired Major General Emmanuel Wekem Kotia of the Ghana Armed Forces and held in cooperation with the African Union Commission, the 2026 edition continues ASEC's tradition of convening the most senior decision-makers across government, defence, law enforcement, and the private sector.

The three-day programme is structured around nine high-level panel sessions and dedicated matchmaking blocks, covering the full spectrum of Africa's security landscape: African-led security frameworks and regional cooperation; counter-terrorism and violent extremism; border management and transnational crime; UN peacekeeping and mission effectiveness; climate-driven insecurity and humanitarian pressures; cyberspace and digital resilience; logistics and operational mobility; inclusive security leadership; and health security and cross-border crisis preparedness.

Meet RealTyme at ASEC 2026

For a defence ministry coordinating a cross-border operation, an intelligence agency running a sensitive source network, or a CERT team responding to a ransomware incident on critical national infrastructure — the security of the communications channel is not a policy question. It is an operational one.

If the platform carrying classified coordination can be intercepted, compelled by a foreign jurisdiction, or harvested today for decryption when quantum computing matures, the mission is compromised before it begins.

This is the problem RealTyme solves. The RealTyme platform gives African defence institutions, security agencies, and critical infrastructure operators communication infrastructure that stays within their jurisdiction and their control — with post-quantum cryptography built in from the ground up, not retrofitted after the fact.

It runs on-premises when the operational environment demands it, or on sovereign or Swiss cloud infrastructure where that better fits the deployment context. In every case, what does not change is who holds the keys — and who cannot.

ASEC is the right room for this conversation. The delegates making force generation decisions, procuring command-and-control infrastructure, and building national cyber capacity are here. The Chatham House Rule means the conversation can be real.

The RealTyme team will be present in Accra from 7 to 9 July 2026, including during the structured matchmaking sessions. We welcome the opportunity to meet with defence and interior ministries, intelligence agencies, military commands, regional security bodies, law enforcement, and industry partners attending the symposium.
