Meet RealTyme at ICSC 2026 in Abuja

RealTyme at ICSC 2026 in Abuja, Nigeria – sovereign secure communications

RealTyme is heading to Abuja for the International Cybersecurity Conference (ICSC) 2026, taking place on 27–28 October at the Abuja Continental Hotel.

Now in its second edition and hosted by Nigeria's National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), ICSC brings together government leaders, regulators, cybersecurity professionals, critical infrastructure operators and industry representatives to address the security challenges shaping Africa's digital future.

Throughout the conference, our team will connect with institutions working to strengthen digital sovereignty, protect sensitive communications and build long-term cyber resilience.

On 28 October, RealTyme will also deliver a 90-minute interactive workshop, “Quantum Resilience for Mission-Critical Infrastructure: Migration Strategies for Secure and Sovereign Data.”

Why Sovereign Communications Matter for Mission-Critical Infrastructure

Across Nigeria and the wider region, governments and industries are modernising essential services, from public administration and financial systems to telecommunications and energy infrastructure.

As these systems become increasingly interconnected, the consequences of compromised communications extend far beyond data exposure. They can affect operational continuity, institutional trust and the ability to coordinate during critical situations.

For organisations responsible for national infrastructure, security is not simply about encrypting information. It is also about maintaining control over where sensitive data resides, who manages encryption keys and how communications remain protected throughout their lifecycle.

RealTyme develops sovereign secure communications for governments, defence organisations and regulated enterprises, enabling institutions to retain control over their sensitive communications, encryption keys and deployment environments.

At ICSC, we look forward to discussing how these capabilities can support the evolving security requirements of Nigeria's public and private sectors.

Preparing for Quantum Threats Before They Become a Reality

One of the most important questions facing security leaders today is not only whether their information is encrypted, but how long that information needs to remain confidential.

Quantum computing introduces a significant challenge to the public-key cryptographic systems widely used to secure digital communications, identities and transactions.

Although quantum computers capable of breaking today's widely used public-key cryptography are not yet available, the risks to long-lived sensitive information are already a concern.

Through a strategy known as “harvest now, decrypt later,” attackers may intercept and store encrypted information today, hoping to decrypt it once future technology makes that possible.

For governments, financial institutions, telecom operators and critical infrastructure providers, post-quantum readiness is becoming a present-day planning priority, not simply a future technology project.

Day 2 Workshop: Quantum Resilience for Mission-Critical Infrastructure

On 28 October, RealTyme will lead a dedicated 90-minute workshop exploring how organisations can move from understanding quantum risk to planning a practical migration strategy.

The session will examine how institutions can introduce post-quantum protection while maintaining the availability and performance of the systems they depend on.

Rather than treating migration as a complete replacement of existing infrastructure, the workshop introduces a more practical approach: strengthening the bridge while traffic continues to flow.

Participants will explore:

- Understanding quantum risk: What quantum computing could break, what remains secure and why long-lived sensitive information requires attention today.

- Identifying cryptographic exposure: Where vulnerable cryptography exists across critical systems and how organisations can prioritise migration.

- Planning a practical transition: How hybrid cryptography and crypto-agility can support a phased approach without unnecessary operational disruption.

- Making informed decisions: How security, operational, regulatory and procurement teams can coordinate a realistic migration strategy.

The workshop will also include an interactive War Room exercise, challenging participants to navigate a realistic security scenario, balance competing operational priorities and make decisions about immediate and long-term post-quantum readiness.

Supporting the Transition to Quantum-Resilient Infrastructure

Preparing for the quantum era starts with understanding existing exposure.

RealTyme supports organisations in assessing cryptographic readiness, planning secure transitions and building internal expertise, helping institutions prepare for post-quantum migration without compromising operational continuity.

Through our Cyber for Good initiative, qualifying governments may also access RealTyme's post-quantum technology free of charge, supporting efforts to strengthen sovereign digital infrastructure.

Connect with RealTyme at ICSC 2026

Our team will be attending ICSC on both days, connecting with government institutions, cybersecurity leaders, critical infrastructure operators and industry partners.

Whether your organisation is exploring sovereign secure communications, assessing post-quantum risks or developing a long-term security strategy, we welcome the opportunity to exchange perspectives.
